Spring Hill Programs

The Spring Hill Special Olympics programs are designed for any individual, youth or adult, with a mental or physical disability who chooses not to participate in regular Spring Hill Recreation Commission ( SHRC ) programs.

Team History

The SHRC founded the Spring Hill team in the Spring of 2006. 

Program Guidelines

To participate in Kansas Special Olympic sport activities a person must be:

  • 8 years or older
  • Diagnosed as having an Intellectual Disability, Cognitive Delays as measured by formal assessment, or significant learning or vocational problems due to a cognitive delay that require or have required specially-designed instruction.

Registration

Please register before attending practices. Current Special Olympics - Kansas ( SOKS ) physical is required for sport participation. Visit the Special Olympics Kansas website for more information.

Volunteers

Volunteers help coach and assist athletes as well as chaperone, teach recreational classes, and participate in activities. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to Jason at jasong@springhillrec.org
